A Very Very Quick Post........

I just wanted to pop on and quickly show you the card I had a request to make...my sister asked me to make it for hubby...hope she likes it.
I dont know when I'll next be on here because tomorrow we're going over to the UK for a month...we have a new grandchild due shortly as I mentioned in a previous post. Although I'm looking forward to spending time over there I'm being put off slightly by the weather forecast...Ugh....!!
Well to the task in hand then...the card....hope you like...

I really don't know where my time is going just lately I just can't seem to catch up and I'm neglecting this blog yet again...at the start of the year my intention was to be really good and regularly update...I haven't put that into effect as yet as you can see...LOL

Anyways I'm not going to beat myself up about it I'll just get on and post the cards I've made recently...one is for my sister and hubby's anniversary in March and there's two baby cards one of which is intended for our new grandchild due in February...and as the baby's sex is not known I made the same card for a boy and for a girl. We're going over to the UK for a month in a couple of weeks and I'm so looking forward to it I can tell you...!! Before I upload the cards though I'm going to post a picture of the money box I painted for the baby at the pottery painting evening I go to...there's a bit of a story behind the name "Happy Feet"...the story being is that on Paula's visit to the hospital for her first scan they had to wait for quite a while for the baby to settle down so the nurse could do what she had to do...my son said the baby looked as though it was dancing...and so since then it has been affectionately known as "Happy Feet"...LOL.......

.......and me being me I just couldn't resist doing it...LOL.....and now for the cards.....the sheets can be found at CraftsuPrint if anyone is interested...link is top right of the blog.

There certainly is more.....but this posting is to show more pages and QP's I made with Farmer Lisa's kits "Dandelions & Daisies" and "Vintage Beauty". I think I've said it before that they're great kits...well it's true they are...LOL...although I loved working with them both I have to say I'm a total sucker for the vintage type kits...just love them...!! Anyways on to the task in hand.........

As with the majority of my digi scrapbook pages the photos are of my grandchilren...in this case though the exception is the first page entitled "Sophie"...LOL

Everything Comes In Three's...............

Everything comes in three's so they say well today it certainly is a true saying for me...three posts in ONE DAY...unheard of...you've got to admit and give me credit though I've really excelled myself today...LOL

I've been playing and thought I'd pop back on here and show you the results...enjoy............

Created this QP using FarmerLisa's kit "Dandelions and Daisies"...I've the perfect photo for it too...that is when I've hunted through my files to find it...but I do know it's there so all's well...LOL...!!

I love vintage so I just couldn't resist and had to buy the kit I used for this QP...and the following frame cluster...Farmer Lisa's "Vintage Beauty"...a gorgeous kit and no mistake...!! I'm really enjoying making these QP's and clusters...have only ever made one before this week...!!

Well as mentioned earlier I said I'd be back with info on a new website I found a few days ago...Farmer Lisa: 201111...hope you try and pop over and check it out...here.

Since the beginning of the month she's uploaded parts of a freebie kit for us to collect..."Christmas In Colors"...its a great kit you'll see and Lisa threw open a challenge for anyone who'd like to make QP's, clusters and layouts with the kit using the pieces collected to date...great fun...!! You'll find my contributions at the end of this post.
When you're over there on the website check out her other kits...promise you you wont be disappointed...!!
Anyways in the time honoured tradition here's what I made earlier...LOL...hope you like...............

The cottage image is one from the Net everything else is from the "Christmas In Colors" kit.

The pic in the above QP is of my grandchildren taken in 2006.

Just popped on to upload a few digi scrapbook pages....I said in my last post that I would have some cards to show the next time I posted but afraid I haven't got them ready as yet but they are coming very soon....until then I hope you enjoy looking at the digi pages that I post....!!

Created this page with the kit "Sweet Peaches" by Saskia. The image was from lestresorsdebouloute.centerblog.net. I love the colours in this page and thought the image was gorgeous.

A page I entered into the challenges "Scrap Your Favouite Style" and "Old Fashioned-Vintage-Rustic" over at Scrapbookflair. The kit I used was "Coffee Time" by Sky's The Limit Scraps and finished the page off in Fotosketcher. The image was taken from the Net.

I've entered this page into the "It's A Boy" challenge at Scrapbookflair...the effects were done in Paint.Net. The kit is "Graine d'Amour by Sarayane and the wordart is from Random Thoughts by Linda. The pic is my youngest grandson taken in 2007.

Another challenge page for Scrapbookflair..."Sunsets & Silhouettes".

A page just for fun trying out the effects in Fotosketcher. The kit used is "Mood Swings" by Amanda Thorderson. Quite 'steampunk-like' I think but getting to like the steampunk style of scrapping at the moment.

This page is my second entry into the challenge "It's A Boy"...my eldest grandson taken in 1999. This is one of my favourite photos of him...love it...!!
The kit used is "Painted Summer" by Bellisae Designs...Grandson wordart afraid I can't remember where it came from..."Make Me A Smile" wordart and stars from Thalaris...teddy bear from kit "Graine d'Amour" and the camera and brad from Ange.

Well that's it for this session I'll be posting a page made with a freebie kit that is an on-running daily download from a great site I've just found...saying no more...that way you will have to come back...got to reel in my readers somehow...LOL...!!

.....has to be one of my favourite kits at the moment...so its only natural that I had to keep having a play as they say...lol...I just love it...and yes you're right I'm going to post some digi pages I made with said kit...!!

Haven't been updating my blog of late for various reasons...was without the internet for almost a week...ugh...went away for a few days and now just getting back into the swing of things. Everything is going pretty well at the minute but had a bit of a fright early hours Tuesday morning...had an earthquake in our area...it was bad enough to give me one heck of a scare at the time...!! Anyways things are okay now.

This page was entered into Oklahomadawn's challenge "Let's Do Clusters - No Flowers" over on Scrapbookflair...and I just had to use one of my favourite kit's "Beyond The Sea" from Digital Designs by Carolina for it. I tried something different this time with my photograph being that I extracted the image from the original photo for the frame and I think it has worked pretty well...!! It's the third page I've created with "Beyond The Sea" and I must say I've been pleased with the way each one has turned out...I dont know..everything just seems to work..it must just be that sort of a kit...!!

The next page was made for the "Make It A Background" challenge...again for Oklahomadawn. The object of the challenge was to take a photograph and turn it into a background...my first attempt at doing anything like that...anyways I'm posting both the page and photo so you can see from where the page originated........

Never had time to make a posting yesterday...very busy day...hairdressers, food shopping etc and Spanish classes...and by the time we got home last night I was pooped...lol

The page was made for the challenge "1 Word + 1 Photo + 1 Designer" over at ScrapbookFlair. I used the kit "Pleasant Time" by Thalaris for the layout. The word "Amor" was cut out of the photograph in DSA2...the photograph is of my youngest son and partner taken at our Bon Voyage Party just before we moved over to Spain in 2006...I love this photo of them and have to say scrapped it more than once...!

The above two pages were created in DSA2 with Amelia's freebie kit "Charming - a - Vintage Ladies Kit"...its fabulous...I love vintage...go and check her work out you wont be disappointed I assure you.

Just a fun page...I wanted to use this kit "Red Wonderland" by Digiscrap and chose this old photo of Laura and Ryan...I think it suits the page to a "T"...!!

I just had to scrap this pic of my youngest grandson taken on a visit to Mini Hollywood Theme Park when they were over during the summer. The photo was taken in one of those digital photo studio efforts they have at those places.....hope you like.......

The kit used is "Egoli" by Lins Creations...lion cubs from web...font "Hot Brass".

This is the first Steampunk layout I've done and without sounding too full of it I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. The kit is from Lindalou Scraps...pop over and check the site out...I just love her work...wish that I was that clever...!!

Finally Got Something To Show......

Hi all...finally finding a bit of time to update the blog...hubby at golf today so no interruptions for a while...lol...and also my sister and hubby went back to the UK on Wednesday. It does seem quiet now though after a very hectic but enjoyable fortnight...no more visitors again until the end of the year.

I did do a little crafting whilst my sister was here ...she asked if I'd make her three birthday cards to take back with her...which I did and also made my grandson's birthday card too...but I don't know if it was due to having a very very senior moment but I forgot to photograph either one of them...cant believe I did that...!!!!!!!!

Anyways for anyone of you who are interested I made two digi scrapbook pages yesterday...in a way just to say I'm crafting again...LOL...so here goes...hope you like..............

This page was made using the freebie page kit "Double Trouble" by Scrappin' Serenity. The photograph I used is one of my grandson taken a few years back but I love it...it was taken during one of his "silly days"...the image was extracted from the original photograph using Cutout Studio in DSA2.

I just wanted to have another play so I made this digi page using the "Violet Flood" kit by Kaccii...I love the colours and it's a very pretty kit I have to say.

It's my friends birthday next week so I thought I'd pop on and share the card I made for her...hope she likes it...there's no chance that she'll see it before the event because she doesn't blog...in fact she doesn't use a computer....!! Safe or what.....LOL

The sheet was from CraftsuPrint and the designer was Deborah Davies. The photograph is not all that good but neither was the light when I took it really. Well I hope you still enjoy looking.

Also whilst I'm here I'll share the digi page I made last night...its of my grandson when they were visiting in July...the kit used was again "Beyond The Sea" - Digital Designs By Carolina. I do love this kit...I think its going to stay one of my favourites.

Yet Another Quick Visit.....

I'm glad to say the sun has started to sneak through at last...a bit late in the day but there's no real complaints here...we've had a right old thunder storm...the rain stopped a while ago but it has still been so dismal outside...but as I said the sun is starting to sneak through now. Though I must say today's event pales into insignificance with the weather some people are enduring at the moment...!!

Well back to the task on hand...as I've already said this is going to be another quick visit from me...I've just come on to show some cards I've made...hope you enjoy looking...!

The first two cards are designs called "Serenity" by Kylie-Jayne Blacklaws...the cards look so much better in the flesh so to speak...very pretty made up. Good afternoon...this is another quick visit from me...but maybe or hopefully I'll be back later tonight...anyways as the title of this posting indicates I've got a card and a digi scrapbook page to show...as always I hope you enjoy looking......!!

This card "Pop Out Octagon - Rose Arches" was made with a sheet bought from..as is the norm...CraftsuPrint...and also as is the norm if you would like a look-see around the site just click on the logo on my sidebar. The sheet was designed by June Young and has a matching box envelope...as you may see its sort of half heartedly showing itself behind the card...LOL It makes up into a lovely card...the photo really doesn't do it justice. Now for my LO.

I made this digi page using the "On The Road Again" kit by Eena Creation...another fun sort of page of my youngest grandson.

This first page I made using the Just Pink kit sent to me for entering the September Challenge at...Minky Things...its a sweet kit...you'll still be eligible to enter the challenge if you pop over to her site...you have until the 17th September to send in a LO etc using the freebie page kit you can download there. You have absolutely nothing to lose and you'll be surprised at how lovely her blogs are...yes she does have more than one.........!!

To make this page all the elements etc that I used were from the "Beyond The Sea" kit by Digital Designs By Carolina ...I also used it in a LO for my last post...I love this kit...will be using it again and again....!!

Hello from what was earlier a hot and sunny corner of the world...its been too hot to do anything very much so I allowed myself a bit of a crafting session...the heat was my excuse anyway.....LOL. Hope you take the time and hope you enjoy looking at my efforts.

I made this layout for the Just Pink Challenge at Minky Things ...it's a new site...well new to me that is...that I found via Kyra at With A Russian Dutch Heart blog...a fabulous site you must go and have a sneeky peek...it's lovely...not had a chance to look at everything there but I shall in time.

This layout was made with the freebie download "Beyond The Sea" by Digital Designs By Carolina. The sentiment is from Word Art World by Jennifer. Sometimes I think its a change to make a layout without using photographs..I enjoyed making this one.

For this layout I used a mini kit "At This Moment" from Designs By Helly that I've had for an age amongst my files and thought I'd better use it. I filled the frame with an assortment of photos from varius times.

I've used this photograph before on a layout when I first started to digi scrap last year...but I love it and wanted to use it again. The freebie kit "All The Love In The World" by Kyra from With A Russan Dutch Heart was used for this layout...its a lovely kit and I know for sure I'll be using it again.

I just couldn't resist making this fun layout. I used "Pirate" a kit from Digi Crea. The photo is of my younget grandson in the inflatable I bought him when he was visiting last month...its actually taken in the swimming pool and I cut it out of the original photo in Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 to use in the layout. It was really funny for some reason he really took to the sun hat my sister always leaves here...he wore it all day..LOL

This is my entry into the Sir Stampalot Challenge - Whatever You Fancy......my first challenge card in an age I might add.....hope you like...!!

For the card I used a linen effect 6x6" card from Southalls Stationers...one of my favourite digi images from Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers then used my Cuttlebug to cut it out...the backing paper was a freebie download from Card Making Downloads...hot fix nailheads from Josie Rose...the flower, leaves and fancy metal corner were from Wild Orchid Crafts...the sentiment was a digi download from Pollycraft Designs. Everything else used was from my craft stash.

Haven't got that much time today but wanted to upload some digi scrapbook pages I did last night...a bit of a change from cards...couldn't get my head around cardmaking so I thought I'd have a little bit of a play with some quick digi scrapping.

When you see them you'll probably think I couldn't get my head around them either.....LOL!!......anyways hope you enjoy looking.

I made the above page using the "Oh Be.Be Baby" free daily download kit from Divine Digital. A great site and they are so generous with the Download A Day kits too.

This is a quick page from the "Pebble Shore" kit bought from DaisyTrail scrapbooking site using photos of my youngest grandson during the family visit last month.

Another quick page found amongst my files....ideal for my eldest grandson's first senior school photo.

Yes I'm back and ready to craft again...been having withdrawal symptoms...LOL...the last of our visitors went back on Monday...no more due until the middle of September. The last few days we've been having a big 'chill out' but I spent last night cutting out sheets ready for me to make up today...yeah...!!

I need to have a really good blog hop though I must have missed loads...will try to do that over the weekend...but for now I will leave you with a picture of the card I made for my husband's birthday...hope you like....!

I love this design...I know I'm going to have to make it again. It's a giant tableau easel card designed by Valerie Dawes one of CraftsuPrint's (yes I know...lol) top designers...her work is fabulous well worth a 'look see'.

......I'm back...with another assortment of cards...!!

Not been around for quite a while...but have been trying to keep up my production of cards in between doing this that and the other though. My sister and husband have been over for a two week visit...went back to the UK last Friday but they're back for another two weeks in September...gluttons for punishment they must be...LOL. Seriously I love it when they're over and they love coming...thank goodness...LOL. The weather was glorious but I must admit a bit too hot for me at times. Got my youngest son and girlfriend coming next Saturday and the following Sunday my middle son and two grandsons come over for a visit...there's three days that they all overlap...they'll be stuffed in cupboards and under the beds for sure...LOL...LOL...not literally just a figure of speech...!!

Well to get down to business...the cards I mentioned...hope you enjoy looking...if there's anybody out there that is.........

Crafts U Print Card Challenge.....I WON !!!!

Hello from my very dull and dismal part of Spain...I really do wish the sun would show and stay....LOL...but getting down to business though as the title says I've actually won a challenge...I entered into the Crafts U Print's April "Father's Day" card challenge...it's the first time I've won anything like this and for doing so I'll recieve a trophy and £25...I have to say it made my day...yeah!!! It was a very very close call though I won by only one vote...phew...there were some really excellent entries.

Anyways I'll now do what I came to do...and thats upload my card...LOL...hope you enjoy looking. The Giant Easel Tableau 3D Card Kit "A Vintage Year" that I used to make it was designed by Valerie Dawes one of CUP's many talented designers and it turned out to be a very striking card when completed...I was really pleased with the result. This week's sketch at Mojo Monday...and my take on it. I nearly always seem to go for the vintage look with these sketches I know but I really do love the vintage looking cards.

For the card I used green backing paper and image from Joanna Sheen's "Victorian Companion" Triple CD Set...strip of backing paper from Fred She Said. The sentiment was a digi download from Lily-Boo coloured with a Promarker. Card, ribbon, lace and stick on pearls from my stash.

For the card I used the image "A Cherry On Top" from Victoria Case which I of course coloured with my Promarkers...the mat for the sentiment was from Fred She Said but had to colour the edge to go with the card's colourway...the swirl I believe was a file from Penny Duncan that I cut out on my Craft Robo...everything else was in my stash.

Hi and a good afternoon to everyone on another very grey, cold and rainy day in my part of Spain...its such a difference from the weather we had on our "mini hol" last week...it was glorious weather...but all good things come to an end they say!

This week I've been catching up on jobs...especially in the garden...I was going to have another stint in the garden today whilst hubby is at golf but as the saying goes " the best laid plans etc......LOL.....never mind hopefully the weather will pick up again over the weekend !!

Well as I implied earlier with the title I'm back blogging and ready to catch up on my cardmaking etc....I've missed my challenges for the last couple of weeks but I mean to make a start on more cards this evening....watch this space...lol. Have been on a bit of a blog hop over the past few days and really have to admit am still in awe of some of the terrific talent that's out there...brilliant...how I wish...LOL !!

Good afternoon hope things are going well for you and hope the sun is shining...it is here thankfully...its been really grotty the past couple of days or so...high winds, really cold, and a fair amount of rain...my garden will have appreciated that but hubby was a bit worried yesterday thought his golfing might have been called off today....LOL

As I promised yesterday I've a challenge card...all finished now...LOL...for Pollycraft Challenge #78 "Baby Its Cold Outside". I'm quite enjoying still being able to make Christmas cards....each one I tell myself is another addition to my box for this year...and boy is it going to be a help....LOL.

I used a Pollycraft digi image "Cherry Kisses Snowball" for the card....the self-adhesive glitter paper I bought from Hobby Craft and I love it..you don't get the glitter on your fingers as you do with some..I bought a stock of all the colours in it when we were in the UK over Christmas. The ribbon, snowflakes, glamour dust, stick on pearls and backing paper were from my stash.

Hi.....just popping on to show the card I made for this weeks Mojo Monday challenge.....its quite late in the week I know.....but as they say....better late than never.....lol

Tried to follow the sketch as best I could but as you can see I left off a sentiment.....the simple reason being I'm not sure what sort of a card I want it to be...birthday etc....decisions, decisions...lol...anyways to my mind right or wrong I thought to get the sketch right was the main thing. Hope you like.........

For the card I used a backing paper from Fred She Said...the image is one I've had for ever... and I'm sorry I can't remember where I got it from....the rest of the elements used were from my own stash.

Lately as I've been mentioning I've nearly come to a full stop with my car making so when I saw the Mojo Monday blinkie on one of the blogs I was visiting I popped over to see what it was all about.....hence the card I am going to post. I think the templates are great and a good idea and if they can help me kickstart my mojo I'm all for it...lol

Well here it is then...hope it fits the bill.

This is the template we had to follow.

For the card I used a backing paper from Jak Heath Designs and the image was a newsletter freebie stamp from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps....the rest of the elements were from my stash.

As the title says this upload is not a card but another digi-scrapbook page.....I was at a bit of a loss last night and was looking through my photographs when I came across the one I've used on my page and so I decided to scrap it. I love scrapping the grandchildrens photos...I know I'm a bit early for the Easter theme but please bear with me.....LOL....with the "crafters block" I've been having of late anything I produce is a good step...LOL...so here it is.....

The page was made using elements from a Daisytrail kit.

Sir Stampalot Challenge........

This is my first challenge card this year but hopefully wont be my last...lol.....I'm hoping I can kick-start my mojo and get around to making more cards and entering more challenges.....I'm hopeless at the moment !!

Anyways here's the card I made as my entry for the January Sir Stampalot Challenge "A Winter's Tale".....hope you like.

Background........"Snow Queen" digital scrapbook kit - Digi Crea.
Glitter paper, brads, flower and braid from my stash.
The sentiment "Winter Wishes" was stamped with Encore Ultimate Metallic Silver.....I also used glamour dust on her hair and on the 'whats-it' she's holding but it doesn't really show up in the photo.

A Belated HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!......

Well here I am back from my Christmas holiday in England and at the moment am trying so hard to catch up with all my blog visits......must have missed so much......but onwards and upwards as they say......LOL.

To everyone who visits and reads my blog I hope you had a lovely Christmas and hope that 2011 brings you all that you're hoping for...but most importantly health and happiness!! We had a fairly quiet Christmas and New Year but had a lovely time and loved seeing everyone. It was great being with the grandchildren again...they are really growing up...you dont really see it as much when you're looking at them sat at the computer speaking on Skype...but we loved every minute of it and boy do I wish I had my youngest grandson's energy......LOL.

Don't know who makes New Year resolutions anymore...lol...but I've made one or two...not that I'm going to tell you what they are...just in case they're not fulfilled...lol...though a couple of them are craft related !!

In my last posting I said that I'd be back to post some more cards before we went away...well it ended that I was just too busy and never did get back on here.....I thought I'd just forget it and not post them now Christmas has gone...but I've noticed people are still posting them for one reason or another so I've had a change of mind and am now going to upload them. Here goes..............

The above card was photographed before I put the snowflake in the top corner of the topper...it did look much better with it...but forgot to re-photograph the card...not to worry...lol

Hello there hope you're all well.....I've just been having a quick blog-hop and catch up.....as usual great stuff on show....lots of talented ladies. As the title 0f the post says I've another card to share with you. I used a download from The Clipart Fairy for the image......the holly paper is from Shirley's Cards.....everything else used is from my stash.

Will be posting more at the end of the week hopefully then I dont know if I'll be posting anymore this year because next week I'll be getting ready to go on my "jolly hollyday" to England.....we're going over for Christmas and the New Year.....and I cant wait......0nly 10 more sleeps....LOL...LOL

Anyways here's the card I came here to post...hope you like.

While I'm here I'll post another digi scrapbook page too.....as I've said before (I think..lol) I'm really getting into this.....its really fun and also very addictive. I used Wishing On A Starr's freebie kit "It's A Kind Of Magic" for the page but added the mask, butterflies and flower centres from elsewhere.

Another card and a scrapbook page from not so sunny Spain to show you...the weather is awful at the minute but I have to say not half as bad as it is in the UK....it looks really dreadful by what we've been seeing on the news. Hope you dont have to suffer it for too long.

Well down to what I came on here for...my uploads...the card is for my nephew who's birthday it is on Thursday hope he still likes Ben 10 I should really have checked first.

I received another FSB....the Featured Scrapbook for today....thrilled again...but it was only on a second thought that I uploaded it to DaisyTrail...I didn't really do the page to upload it...I was just having a mess around with various elements from different kits but then I thought well I wont lose anything by doing so and as I've said it got me the FSB....lol The children in the picture are my grandchildren.

Yet Another Christmas Card.......

I'm getting there very, very slowly but surely...LOL...here's another Christmas card made...one of six of the same design to be exact...colours vary but they're still the same type of card and the easel card that I uploaded in my last post was one of four of the same card so really I'm not doing too badly I dont think...LOL

The image is "Cherry Kisses Wreath" from Pollycraft Designs coloured with Promarkers, the backing paper is one of Jak Heath's and everything else I used is from my stash.

I'm also uploading another digi-scrapbook page to show you....this one got me the FSB...Featured Scrapbook...for yesterday on the DaisyTrail forum.....I was really pleased about that.

My Goodness It's Been A Long Time.....

........I didn't realise how long it's been since I last posted on here...I'm letting myself down big time...with all my good intentions too...but I SHALL update more often I promise...and no I haven't got my fingers crossed...I think I remember saying that before.....LOL !!

I haven't had a good blog-hop for some time either...I know I'm missing out on so much out there...over the next few day's I'll be making a few visits though.

I am still really into digi-scrapbooking...I find it totally addictive...so much so that my card making seems to have been put on the back-burner...but I'm going to post a Christmas card I made last night from a download from The Clipart Fairy. Grandson's Birthday Card

Just a flying visit to post the card I made for my youngest grandson's birthday next week....he's Thomas The Tank Engine crazy and I was given this image by someone so I could "theme" his card. I printed the image off three times so I could decoupage two of them....not that they show up too well as being decoupaged...the number four was a cardboard element that I embossed and of course the "today" is peel-off letters.

Another digi scrapbook page...a fun page I did the other evening...I love this photograph of Mathew and have wanted to do something with it for a while...the photo was taken last Christmas...I did a cut-out in DSA2...in the original photo he was surrounded by presents....LOL !!

Finally New Cards...and a bit of a chat!!

I know I've been very lax in updating this blog of mine of late...apologies...but here's a surprise I've actually three cards to upload today...LOL...one was for my niece, one for my son and the other for my grandson Ryan. The decoupage sheets apart from the Man United one were freebie downloads from The Papercraft Tutor. I'm also uploading a couple or so of my recent digi scrapbook pages.....I'm really getting to enjoy doing them. Hope anyone who reads my blog.....that's if anyone does...lol...that you enjoy looking at my efforts!!

We had a great time when my sister and hubby were visiting.....they're back home in the UK now but it wont be too long before we're seeing everyone again.....as I've mentioned in a previous posting we're spending Christmas and the New Year in the UK......I'm really looking forward to that. On Sunday we have my son and girlfriend coming over for a visit...they're only here for a week this time...he wants to get some golfing in with his dad......that'll be the last of our visitors for this year.

We've had quite a busy time of it over the summer months and this couple or so weeks but I must admit enjoyable.

I had a brilliant day last Saturday...spent the day being well and truly pampered.....among the treatments I had was a facial, a massage, a bit of reflexology and a stint in the gym and hot tub.....I could really get used to all that...LOL...it was great !! Never spent a day like that before but I'd certainly do it again.

Well as promised here's my uploads.....hope to upload again soon.....I keep saying that don't I but now I'm beginning to have a bit more time it just could happen...LOL !!

A Quick Post.........

Hello again from a very dismal looking part of Spain.....at least the rain has stopped though.....but I have a sneaky feeling the sun isn't going to bother making any sort of an appearance today.....but then again you should never say never....LOL !!

Not a lot has been happening craftwise or otherwise with me.....I've just spent a bit of time popping onto various sites and have still lots to catch up on but I'm sure I'm going to get there in the end.

I'm looking forward to this coming Monday though and no mistake my sister and hubby are coming over for another visit and we received an email a couple of days ago from my son saying they had booked their flights for coming over in October. November's free.....LOL.....then December I can get all excited at the prospect of spending Christmas and New Year in England.....oh yes!!!!!

Well in my last post I said I was spending a fair bit of time digital scrapbooking......so I thought seeing as I haven't any new cards to show as yet I would post a couple or so of my layouts........

......well for my sins there they are...well some of them.....hope you enjoyed looking.....I know I have a lot to learn and really I'm going to......LOL......next post I'm hoping to have a card or two to show you !!

Just to let anyone who's interested know I'm still around and about.....LOL.....have really neglected my blog these past few weeks but I'll be back shortly posting as usual. I must have a good catch up too.....haven't had a really good blog hop for weeks and must visit my faves...I must have missed loads!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry to say I haven't made any cards for long enough now and need to get my hand back in.....anyways I will need to start making my Christmas cards sooner than later!! Also have birthday cards to make for my son and two grandsons so they will help to kick-start my mojo.

I've been spending a lot of time recently on a new hobby to add to my list......digi scrapping......I am still scrapping the conventional way as well as...I've got a half finished page that I must cut out the title for.....that will give me something to post!! LOL

The digi scrapbooking is quite addictive really.....to be perfectly honest I always thought it was kind of cheating......but I am now going to eat my words and take it all back because I've found it and am finding it really really fun and I'm enjoying it!!!

Well not much of a post I'll agree but its a bit of an explanation and as I said earlier I'll be back posting very soon.

Sketch...OR...Use A Bit Of Pink..........

As the title says for this week's challenge over at One Stitch At A Time you have to either use the sketch posted.....or use a bit of pink somewhere on the card.....or do both! I did exactly that with the card I'm entering...I did both...used the sketch and also used pink.................

For the card I used................

Cuttlebugged the mat for the image.
Card, background paper, pearls brads, lace and pearl stick-ons are from my stash.
I used a Gelly Roll Stardust pen on the wings but it doesn't show too well.....and I don't know what is happening to my photography but its not at all good at the minute!!

I did say I was going to try to post more often.......LOL !!

I entered this layout as my take on Sketch 208 at Scrapbook Challenges.....the photographs are my eldest grandson Ryan taken when he turned one back in 1999. I love the large photograph of him he loved the camera......more often than not he used to wake up like that.....pity his dad wasn't the same........LOL !! Joking just in case..............LOL !!

I'd like to do as many of the challenges as I can......scrapbooking isn't really my forte so the more I do hopefully the better I'll get at it....practice makes perfect.....well so they say......LOL

Pollycrafts Monday Challenge

I'm going to enter this mini album in the Pollycraft Challenge #54.....theme being "Love and Marriage". The "Amor" sentiment on the front of the album is Spanish for love......so I'm hoping that it will suit.

I haven't put any photographs inside as yet.....that's something I have got to get around to doing.....eventually it's going to be given to my son and his girlfriend.....once I've sorted out which photographs to put in it of course! LOL

I made the album at a craft class a while ago.....I'm not totally sold on the ribbons though.....I dont know whether I should take them off or not.....but until I decide I'll just leave them on.

Well this was short and sweet.....but that's it for this posting....will try to post a bit more often.....I have a few weeks before my sister and husband come out to visit again so I'm going to try and craft as much as I can. Watch this space!! LOL

I'm Still Here................

Yes I'm still around...not been on my blog for a while...this will be a quick visit though...thought I'd just do a quick update...I haven't done any recent crafting but I'm going to post the last things I did...two layouts for Scrapbook Challenges.........and yes I've a lot to learn in that department! LOL

This page is of my youngest son Paul and girlfriend Paula taken in 2006 at the party we had before moving over to Spain.....its one of my favourite photographs of them...I'd wanted to use it on a layout for ages and finally got round to doing it.

This is my youngest grandson taken at the bowling alley when we were in the UK earlier in the year. The bowling pins were cut on my Craft Robo from a freebie download on UKScrappers.

We had to create a card using one of her many Friday freebies...the image I've used "Cherry Kisses Snowball" I've had for ages and coloured it a while ago thinking it would be used for one of my Christmas cards.....I was right...this is my first Christmas card this year and the one I'm entering in the challenge. Hope you like!

The image was coloured with Whispers Strokes (before I invested in my Promarkers) and everything else.....card, snowflakes, stamped sentiment, stickles and corner peel-offs came from my stash.
